Planners
Your child will be given a planner and planner bag the first week of school. This helps to promote organization and communication between school and home. Students are responsible for bringing their planner back and forth each day. If it is being forgotten at school, please talk with your child as they will have already been reminded by the teacher to put it in their backpack.
Each day, students will write in their planners to remind them about library books, field trips, notes etc. They will be instructed to put notes in the front clear pocket to be brought home. Please check their planner each night and initial it. Each morning, planners will be taken out and shown to the teacher. They will receive a stamp if they got their parent to initial it. Please put any completed forms or money in the front clear pocket. All money should be clearly labeled with your child’s name. It will be your child’s responsibility to hand in these forms at the beginning of the day.
If you have a quick question or comment, feel free to write it in their planner. I may also write quick notes in their planners. If there are behavioural issues or other matters that require a longer discussion, this is not something that will be communicated through planners.
